African American Cultural Center director Dr. Sheila Smith McKoy recently spoke with WKNC’s Nick Savage about our new art exhibit Too Black, Too Fast which opens in the Cultural Center Gallery on Tuesday, January 31st. She talks about what attracted the Cultural Center to the exhibit, what about the history of African American jockeys inspired artist Michael McBride put it together and the events that will accompany the gallery opening.

Eye On the Triangle is WKNC’s weekly public affairs program on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm and offers coverage about the news, weather, events, opinions, interviews, and issues that matter and affect North Carolinians. The Too Black Too Fast piece is focused on our new exhibit and how it highlighs a piece of sporting history that often goes unnoticed and aired on the January 24th edition of Eye On the Triangle. WKNC is student-run non-commercial radio from N.C. State University.
