Author Jaclyn Friedman to Speak at NC State

Jaclyn FriedmanAuthor Jaclyn Friedman will speak at NC State on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in SAS Hall 2203 as part of the Women’s Center’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month programs.

Friedman is a writer, performer, activist, editor of the book Yes Means Yes: Visions of Female Sexual Power and a World without Rape (one of Publishers’ Weekly‘s “Top 100 Books of 2009” and one of Ms. Magazine‘s “Top 100 Feminist Non-Fiction of All Time” lists) and author of What You Really Want: The Smart Girl’s Shame-Free Guide to Sex and Safety.

Friedman will lead an interactive discussion about the ways you and your community can create a culture that supports healthy sexuality and makes sexual violence rare, clear and swiftly punished.
