Diversity Education Week

Diversity Education Week serves to promote awareness and understanding of our nation and world’s diverse cultures and foster intercultural understanding through a collection of engaging opportunities including lectures, workshops, panel and group discussions, information sessions, film, food, music, dance and more.

Diversity Education Week is a joint initiative of the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity and the UAB- Diversity Activities Board.

Diversity-EducationWebDiversity Education Week is a joint initiative of the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity and the UAB- Diversity Activities Board.  Started by students in the spring of 2011, Diversity Education Week serves to promote awareness and understanding of our nation and world’s diverse cultures and foster intercultural understanding through a collection of engaging opportunities including lectures, workshops, panel and group discussions, information sessions, film, food, music, dance and more.  Diversity Education Week advances learning and scholarship, builds understanding and respect among different peoples, and enhances constructive leadership in the global community.

University departments, colleges and registered student organizations are invited to host programs and events during the 4th Annual Diversity Education Week taking place Sunday, October 13 until Friday, October 18, 2013.

Schedule of Events

To submit a confirmed program/event that you will sponsor during Diversity Education Week and have it added to the formal calendar of events, please email Tracey Ray, Assistant Vice Provost for Student Diversity at teray@ncsu.edu and submit the following details by Friday, October 4, 2013.
