Black History Month Movie: The Help

The 2009 novel The Help was so popular that bookstores couldn't keep it on the shelf, and the 2011 film is just as great! Join us in watching this light-hearted film about a tough topic in American history. The Help is about African-American maids working in white households during the 1960s in Jackson, Mississippi. Following the film, students leaders will lead a discussion on how this film fits into American history and where we are today. Free showing: Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5:30-8:00 p.m., Park Shops 215.
