Sadly, National Sexual Assault Awareness Month is more necessary and relevant than ever. With sexual assault cases in the news, it remains a critical issue for college campuses to address and eliminate.

The NC State Women's Center will hold numerous events throughout the month of April to raise awareness among students and provide knowledge and tools to help combat this problem in our society.

Take Back the Night March & Rally
This 28th annual event is part of the national movement to free college campuses from sexual violence, April 9, 7:00 p.m., Stafford Lawn

Survivor Support Space
Training program open to NC State community designed to prepare individuals to respond to needs of interpersonal violence survivors, April 13, 5:00-8:00 p.m., Witherspoon 356 or April 21, 5:00-8:00 p.m., Harrelson 307.

It Happened Here
Movie and discussion about documentary that explores sexual assault on college campuses, April 16, 6:00 p.m., Park Shops 210

Interpersonal Violence Workshops
Sexual Violence 101 (April 8), Bystander Behavior (April 14), and Healthy Relationships 101 (April 20) workshops will be held for all interested from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Winston 12.

Volunteer at NC State's Annual Native American Pow-Wow
NC State's 25th Annual Pow-Wow will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Grand entry will start at noon and the event ends at 7:00 p.m. The Native American Pow-wow Planning Committee is seeking interested and motivated volunteers to assist in this awesome display of culture. Please submit the online volunteer form by March 17, 2015. Note that attendance at a volunteer information session during the week prior to the event is highly encouraged and will include free food. If you have any questions, please contact Pow-Wow Volunteer Chair Karli Moore.
Register to be Honored at Lavender Graduation
Registration is now open for the 2015 Lavender Graduation, an annual ceremony to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of NC State's GLBT graduates. This year's ceremony will take place in Talley Coastal Ballroom on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. If you're graduating this spring, summer, or fall, you are eligible to participate. Students do not need to have been involved with any GLBT student organizations or with the GLBT Center in order to participate. Any graduating GLBT undergraduate or graduate student is eligible to participate. Please register online.
