The NC State Spring Diversity Dialogue is on March 5th!

Cultural competency among 21st century graduates has become imperative as the job market globalizes and the workforce continues to diversify. Religion in the American workplace is among the most contentious and difficult areas for employees and employers to navigate. A Gallup poll states that 90% of American adults say that religion is either
very important or fairly important in their lives. At the same time, the number of students who identify as non-religious, atheist, or agnostic is growing significantly on college campuses. In today’s global society, understanding religion through inter-faith connections, dialogue, and encounters can be key to shaping one’s ability to lead, manage or work well with others.

“Interfaith Encounters,” will occur on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 4:00PM in the new Talley Student Union Mountains Ballroom. This interactive program and dialogue will explore religions, exposure to different faiths and non-faiths, and why this is an important competency to gain while in college. All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend. This event is free and open to the public.
