About Us

The North Carolina State Women's Center was founded in 1991 and has been providing service to the women students, faculty and staff on campus ever since.

The Women’s Center Staff consists of the following full-time positions – Director, Associate Director, Assistant Director of Leadership/Scholar in Residence, Assistant Director of Interpersonal Violence Services, Rape Prevention Education Coordinator, and University Programs Associate.  The Women's Center works with Americorps to employ one to three students.  The Women’s Center also employs student workers. We also have many wonderful volunteers who support and help in organizing the various events planned by the Women’s Center.

The Women's Center is a unit within the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity(OIED).  OIED brings the offices of Equal Opportunity & Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, and Multicultural Student Affairs together with three campus centers: the African American Cultural Center; the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) Center; and the Women's Center.  Learn More about OIED.
