Workshop by Kyle Mays, historian of modern US, Afro-Indigenous, and Indigenous studies, will come lead a workshop as a part of Black History Month related to contemporary Black and Indian relations in popular culture. From Andre 3000 to Pharell playing Indian to Native Hip Hop artists appropriating forms of blackness.

Hunting in Wartime profiles the extraordinary stories of Tlingit Vietnam War veterans from
the village of Hoonah, Alaska. The film traces the tension of the soldiers’ tremendous
pride in service, the racism that affects their livelihoods and the challenges they faced
(and continue to face) in the military and back at home.
