Forbidden: Undocumented and Queer in Rural America Film Screening

In honor of Latinx Heritage Month, the GLBT Center will host a screening of the film Forbidden: Undocumented and Queer in Rural America on September 26, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Talley Student Union 3285. Living at the intersections of gender, sexuality and nationality, Moises Serrano, a queer and undocumented activist fights for legal protections for undocumented immigrants across the state of North Carolina. Following the film, engage in a discussion led by Iliana Santillan-Carrillo and Tito Ramos of El Pueblo, Inc. that unpacks some of the systemic and institutional barriers present for folks who identify as GLBT and are undocumented in the United States.
