The NC State TRIO Program is now accepting applications for the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program.

McNair Scholars are provided, at no cost to the participants, the following:

• individualized academic and personal support from McNair Scholars Program staff;
• experience conducting research;
• a paid summer research experience or internship;
• faculty, graduate student and peer mentoring;
• GRE preparation;
• opportunities to participate in research conferences and visit graduate schools;
• assistance in locating and applying to graduate schools;
• workshops on the graduate school application process, financial aid, scholarships and fellowships.

​To be eligible, students must be either first-generation and financially under-resourced or under-represented student of color.
