NC State to Host Special Screening of The Muslim Next Door on April 26

Inspired by her own personal journey of making National Geographic’s critically acclaimed, groundbreaking documentary Gender Revolution, Katie Couric’s new six-part documentary series, America Inside Out with Katie Couric, will follow her as she travels the country to sit down with the people shaping the most pivotal, evolving, contentious and often confusing topics in American culture today.

The NC State community has been selected to feature a special screening and discussion on episode two of the series, entitled “The Muslim Next Door,” on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Witherspoon Cinema. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Following the tragic loss of Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha and Razan Abu-Salha the Barakat and Abu-Salha families have been an inspiration to the NC State and local community when it comes to strength in dealing with unimaginable losses. The loss of Our Three Winners impacted the NC State community including many students, faculty and staff. Following the screening, members of the families and some NC State alums will be a part of a panel discussion.
