Free Webinar: Convening Leaders in Academia to Prevent Sexual Harassment on November 9

The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity invites you to a webinar that we will host: “Together We Can Do Better: A Convening of Leaders in Academia to Prevent Sexual Harassment.”

Join the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine for a convocation on developing and implementing policies, procedures and practices to prevent sexual harassment in academia.

The webinar will be held in Witherspoon Student Center, Room 126, on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. While the official webinar starts at 8:30 a.m., we want to have our campus colleagues convene early for introductions and stay a bit after for debriefing.

Building on the recommendations in the recent report Sexual Harassment of Women: Climate, Culture, and Consequences in Academic Science, Engineering, and Medicine,” this event will bring together academic leaders, Title IX and diversity officers, ombudsmen, researchers in sexual harassment, and leaders from professional societies, foundations, and federal agencies to discuss strategies and share promising practices.

  • Please register by 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 29, 2018 by filling out the Google Form.
