Stalking Awareness 101 @ WSC 356
Jan 21 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Join the Women’s Center and the Movement Peer Educators to discuss the ways in which movies and media have romanticized and normalized stalking as an act of love. Participants will watch clips from various films and discuss the ways that filmmakers have allowed leading characters to manipulate, pressure, blackmail, lie, and persistently pursue another person in order to win affection. Participants will gain a greater understanding of stalking, potential responses to being stalked and resources related to stalking that are available for students on and off campus.
