Harambee!

November 4, 3-6 p.m. at Harris Field

The African American Cultural Center’s annual Harambee! Fall Welcome-Back Block Party offers the opportunity for all to come together to celebrate the beginning of a new year. Harambee is a kiswahili term meaning “all pull together.” This is directly in line with our theme for the 2022-2023 academic year- The Power of Community. As Maya Angelou states, “I come as one, but I stand as 10,000,” and so we walk in community on this campus.

Join us, in community, as we kick off the year and celebrate Red and White Week with Harambee. Meet various campus partners, connect with friends, and enjoy music, games, good conversation, and savory cuisine from an assortment of food trucks.

If you are interested in volunteering, tabling, or leading a student-led activity sign-up here.

Food registration is now SOLD OUT

We still hope you will join us for the party though!

Welcome back Alumni!

We can’t wait to see you this November 4th on Harris field for Harambee! – a celebration of a unified campus community that pulls together. Our meal tickets have sold out, but we still look forward to having you join us!
