Chocolate Festival - This year will mark the 9th year we have sponsored a Chocolate Festival to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. The event will be part of Parents' and Families' Weekend on Friday, November 9th. We need volunteers to solicit donations of chocolate and items for the silent auction.
WolfPACKS (Programming for Adult Caregiving Knowledge and Support) - This is a new group that meets on the first Thursday of each month. As the name implies, it is a space for staff and faculty who are caring for an adult in their lives to meet and talk about the issues they are facing, find resources and support one another. The group meets in the Walnut Room (4th floor) of Talley Student Center from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Bring your lunch and we'll provide some drinks and cookies.
Yoga - The Women's Center offers two sessions of yoga. The session on Thursday evenings, (5:30-6:45PM) is open to staff, faculty, and students and meets each week through November 15. The Wednesday noon session (noon - 1:00 PM) is just for staff and meets each week through November 14. Both sessions are Relaxation yoga and can be joined at any time. There is a one-time registration fee of $20 which covers all sessions.
Sit 'n Stitch - This informal group meets each Tuesday at 5:30 in the Women's Center - Room 322, Harrelson Hall. Bring your knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, etc. and join us. Beginning in October, we will be making scarves and hats that will be donated to the Women's Shelter in December.
