Diversity Education Week
October 13-18, 2013

Started by students in the spring of 2011, Diversity Education Week serves to promote awareness and understanding of our nation and world’s diverse cultures and foster intercultural understanding through a collection of engaging opportunities including lectures, workshops, panel and group discussions, information sessions, film, food, music, dance and more.

Diversity Education Week advances learning and scholarship, builds understanding and respect among different peoples, and enhances constructive leadership in the global community.

Documentary: Love Free, or Die
Sunday, October 13, 2013
7:00PM, SAS Auditorium, Rm 2203

Love Free, or Die is about a man whose two defining passions are in direct conflict: his love for God and for his partner Mark. Gene Robinson is the first openly gay person to become a bishop in the historic traditions of Christendom.  The film follows Robinson from small-town churches in the New Hampshire North Country to Washington’s Lincoln Memorial to London’s Lambeth Palace, as he calls for all to stand for equality – inspiring bishops, priests and ordinary folk to come out from the shadows and change history.
