Human Rights Day Exhibit Now in Talley's Cultural Hearth

The 2015 Human Rights Day observance was launched on Tuesday, December 1 by Chancellor Woodson before an audience of faculty, students and staff in Talley's Cultural Hearth. This year's observance is an exhibit of displays contributed by various student organizations depicting their groups' support of human rights. The groups include the Academic Study of Religions Club, the campus Bahai club, the Buddhist Philosophy Club, the Episcopal Campus Ministry, the GLBT Center, Hillel and Lutheran Campus Ministry. The exhibit is unique in that is was put together by a coalition of organizations working with OIED to promote interfaith collaboration. The exhibit also includes a display of artworks contributed by Design Professor Marc Russo, who is working on a graphic book of stories from major world religions that share common themes.

The Cultural Hearth is on the second floor of Talley Student Union, just inside and to the left of the Cates Avenue entrance to the union. International Human Rights Day is December 10th every year. The Human Rights Day exhibit will be on display through December.
