Applications Open for GLBT Center's Alternative Service Break Trip to San Francisco

Each year, the GLBT Center partners with the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service (CSLEPS) to host an Alternative Service Break (ASB) trip to San Francisco during spring break. The focus of the trip is intersectionality and social justice. Trip participants are asked to think critically about how identity and social justice issues are related. Students have the opportunity to observe, process and strategize about intersecting social justice issues (homelessness, inadequate mental and physical healthcare, interpersonal and community violence, the school-to-prison pipeline, food deserts and targeted discrimination and harassment, among others). To learn more about the San Francisco ASB Trip, see the website. The application deadline is September 28, 2016.

Applications Open for Multicultural Student Affairs' and Women's Center's ASB Atlanta Trip

Interested in diversity, equity and social justice? Join us for a great four-day adventure spanning from Greensboro, NC to Atlanta, GA. This trip, focused on the intersections of race, gender, social class and age, is sponsored by Multicultural Student Affairs and the Women’s Center.

See the CSLEPS website for more information on ASB Atlanta and other ASB locations. Applications are due September 14, 2016.
