The Equal Opportunity Institute is a program designed to increase individual knowledge of equal opportunity issues in the workplace, and to help participants develop skills necessary to cope with diverse working and learning environments.
The 2017-2018 Equal Opportunity Institute is full and no longer accepting applications.
“What I liked most about the Institute is the opportunity to learn something that was informative and very useful, as well as the opportunity to meet so many diverse but well-respected people who wanted to expand on their knowledge of what is taking place in the world today.”
EOI is open to all students, faculty and staff at NC State, as well as outside participants. To find out more about the program, keep reading.
“What I liked most about EOI is the opportunity to meet university equal opportunity staff; the opportunity to interact directly and on the same level with students and professionals.”
NC State is one of 80 universities to receive a 2017 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine. The HEED award recognizes universities whose diversity and inclusion efforts show a broad understanding of diversity, including gender, race, ethnicity, military service, disabilities, membership in the LGBT community and more.
