This Bridge Called My Back: Book Club

The Women’s Center’s spring book club will be reading selected essays and poems from This Bridge Called My Back: Writings by Radical Women of Color edited by Cherríe Moraga and Gloria Anzaldúa. The book club will offer weekly discussions from the selections centering our everyday lived experiences. We will meet every Monday starting January 28th until April 15th from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Women’s Center.

Deep South: Film Screening and Discussion @ GLBT Center ( Talley 5210

Join the GLBT Center as we screen the documentary Deep South, in honor of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The film chronicles the experiences of people navigating systemic barriers while living with and HIV/AIDS. Following the film, engage in a conversation facilitated by the North Carolina AIDS Action Network to unpack the ways in which communities of color are disproportionally impacted.
