One in six males will be sexually abused before the age of 18 years and one in 16 men will experience sexual assault in college. Most either delay reporting or never disclose their abuse, leading to a lack of support and connection for male survivors. This event is the next installment in our series of events focused on breaking silences, challenging myths, and supporting male survivors. In this event we will explore the power of music as one of the healthy ways to cope and heal from trauma along with other support systems that can be utilized by male survivors. This is intended to be a comfortable space for male survivors to come together and talk about the issues of sexual abuse among men, while providing a loving, caring, and compassionate environment. All are welcome.
