The Women’s Center and University Recreation will offer a variety of programs and activities every Wednesday in the Women’s Center. The weekly program uses a social justice lens designed to foster the development of healthy habits and identities, and lay the groundwork for students to lead a balanced, and healthy lifestyle. Some of the programs and activities will include self-care, yoga, sessions on sleep, body image, gender equity and the importance of being financially fit. Wellness Wednesdays aim to teach students to think critically and use healthy habits now so they can use these tools throughout their studies and carry those habits into their daily lives. By providing tools and information that aim to enhance students’ quality of life and academic success, Wellness Wednesdays help students become more healthy, confident, socially just, and resilient individuals. In order for participants to get the most out of this program we ask that students plan to attend the group for the full 7 meetings.
