Join the Women’s Center on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in Talley 5210 as we learn about issues of domestic violence that are specific to women of color from an NC State alumna. Her discussion will focus on the intersections of race, African American women and domestic violence. Bring your lunch!

Dr. Shanita Brown is a counselor educator, licensed professional counselor associate, national certified counselor, teacher-educator and consultant. Her research and service activities focus on intersections of domestic violence, spirituality and African American women; multicultural counseling/counselor training and social justice issues; and adolescent development.

This event is part of the Women’s Center’s observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which will include a full schedule of events that are free and open to all.
