The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity invites the campus community to attend and participate in a “Campus Diversity Conversation: An Update on Diversity Initiatives at NC State” to be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Stewart Theatre.
Chancellor Randy Woodson and Provost Warwick Arden will join Vice Provost for Institutional Equity and Diversity Linda McCabe Smith and Vice Chancellor and Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Mike Mullen in a conversation about NC State’s diversity initiatives and progress.
Some of the initiatives to be discussed include the recruitment and retention of graduate students from underrepresented groups, the reexamination of the General Education Program (GEP) U.S. diversity course requirement, cultural competency training, efforts to enhance university-wide communication about diversity, Title IX compliance activities and more.
Attendees will be able to provide real-time feedback via smartphone as well as ask questions. The event is open to NC State students, faculty and staff.
