African American Cultural Center to Hold Nia Kuumba

NC State’s African American Cultural Center, in partnership with North Carolina Theatre, the Raleigh Arts Commission and the African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County, will stage a special audition for Triangle-area theaters, offering an opportunity for both AEA and non-AEA theater artists to be seen.

Nia Kuumba 2017 will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Witherspoon Student Center.  It is intended to provide singers and actors, from this region or those visiting in relation to the African American Cultural Festival, of all ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, gender identities, as well as performers with disabilities an opportunity to audition for Triangle area theaters seeking professional and non-professional actors.

Moses Greene is director of the African American Cultural Center.
