NC State’s Native American community held its end-of-year Banquet and Powwow on March 31 and April 1, 2017 respectively. Both events were hosted by the Native American Student Association (NASA) and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) in conjunction with Multicultural Student Affairs.read more
The GLBT Center will host its annual Lavender Graduation to celebrate students graduating in the spring, summer or fall of 2017. The ceremony honors lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and ally students and acknowledges their achievements and contributions to the university.read more

Dr. Allen Cannedy is director of diversity and inclusion in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Cannedy is a 2017 recipient of the Iverson Bell Award for “outstanding leadership and contributions in promoting opportunities for underrepresented minorities in veterinary medical education” by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC).read more
