OIED Welcomes Finalists for Two Leadership Positions in Coming Weeks

The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity will host candidates for two leadership positions over the next month. In the areas of equity and diversity, as with so many facets of the university, NC State is poised to make positive changes that will move the institution forward to greater achievement. States Interim Vice Provost Amy Circosta, “I am not only optimistic but very excited about the opportunities arising for OIED with the transition to new leadership. I am hopeful that OIED’s partners and stakeholders will participate in current recruitment activities to best ensure the office serves NC State effectively.”

During the weeks of March 14 and March 21, 2016, four finalists for the position of vice provost will visit NC State for interviews and presentations. The NC State community is invited to the presentations, which will occur on the following dates:

  • Monday, March 14, 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m., Talley Student Union, Room 4101
  • Thursday, March 17, 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m., Talley Student Union, Room 4101
  • Monday, March 21, 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m., Talley Student Union, Room 4101
  • Wednesday, March 23, 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m., Talley Student Union, Room 4101

Each candidate will speak on “The Role of the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity in Fostering a Diverse, Inclusive and Equitable Campus.” Candidates will then answer questions.

During the weeks of March 28 and April 4, 2016, four finalists for the position of senior director of campus community centers will visit NC State for interviews and presentations. The NC State community is invited to the presentations, which will occur on the following dates:

  • Monday, March 28, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Winslow Hall, Room 100
  • Tuesday, March 29, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Winslow Hall, Room 100
  • Monday, April 4, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Winslow Hall, Room 100
  • Tuesday, April 5, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Winslow Hall, Room 100

Each candidate will speak on their “Vision for Leading and Developing the Campus Community Centers.” Candidates will then answer questions.
